Najwa Khuri-Bulos MD, FIDSA,CIC

Dr. Khuri-Bulos is Professor Emeritus of Pediatric Infectious Disease at the University of Jordan and is an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, USA. A graduate of the American University of Beirut (MD with Distinction), She is American Board certified in Pediatrics , Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Infection Control, served as Chairman of Pediatrics, Dean of Research and founder of the Infection Control Unit and the Infectious Disease and Vaccine Center at the University of Jordan. She was the chairman of the Pediatric and the Infectious Disease Boards Committees at the Jordan Medical Boards.

Dr. Khuri-Bulos is immediate past Chairman of the Jordan Immunization,Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) the Chairman of the Jordan Polio Certification committee (NCC) and is currently the lead for new vaccine introduction in the EMRO Regional Technical Advisory Committee on vaccination RTAG. She was a member of IPAC with WHO Geneva and the standing committee of the IPA. She also served as a board member of the Brighton Collaboration and organized more than four international meetings on vaccines with the WHO and Sabin Vaccine Institute. She published extensively on vaccine preventable and health care associated infections(more than 70 papers in international journals) and has presented more than 100 abstracts to regional and international meetings.
